Lowell And Janis Singing His Song

I looked back in my files and found this home-made video of my brother Lowell and his wife Janis singing the song he wrote "He's Got It All Under His Control". I have mixed emotions each time I hear them do it - sort of like great joy - swelling up out of a soul that remembers keenly the deep sadness we were feeling while his life was in such turmoil. Does that make any sense? Hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Lowell and Janis are pretty good. This system is so slow it takes a month of Sundays to watch a video. I can let it load some then slide the button back and get to watch some uninterrupted.
From the other side of the table Sherry said, "I thought that sounded like an old fashoned sing along." When I told her who it was.
Mama looks like she is ready to preach!!
Glad you posted it.

Love you all!
Sherry and Jack.

EXCELLENT, Fred.... That is a great song... Your get-together reminded me of my family when I was a little girl. We were a musical family---and we'd get together and sing like your family... That is so neat!!!! Thanks for sharing.

It's a very upbeat, singable song!! I'm glad to finally hear the tune to go with the words. Wish I could have seen his face, though.

Thanks for the nice comments about Lowell's song. You can find more of our bunch and other folks I've video-taped at my channel on YouTube. Type in "FredAltonBrannen" and there are 50 plus videos there. Nothing professional - just down home "real" stuff. Again, thank you all for the kudos.

Oh Fred! Thank you for sharing this!! I just LOVE big family gatherings with singing praises to our Lord! Even though this was taken years back ~ it's still timeless. THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!! Thank you for sharing.

About Me

Cleveland, TN, United States
I am Fred Alton Brannen, the son of Louis A. Brannen (deceased) and Bonnie Jones Brannen, Louis was an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God. Bonnie is an Ordained Licensed Minister and at 89 years of age is still actively engaged in speaking and singing engagements. I am married to the former Frances Hildreth. We celebrated 53 years of marriage this past June and we are the parents of 3, grand-parents of 10, and great-grandparents of 10. I pastored in Tennessee for 24 years and served the Church in some capacity in missions for over 23 years. I retired from full-time ministry in August of 2008 but remain active, speaking and singing and teaching whenever opportunity affords itself. In January of 2010 I received a letter of commendation for having been credentialed as a minister in the Church of God for 50 years! My family is very important to me. Our get togethers are always noisy affairs and most times will include family sing-alongs. The children love their Mom's cooking so we have the privilege of seeing them regularly! WE LOVE having them over.
